Angled Head Stand Posture - #Y132
(Baddha Konasana Sirasana)
5 1/4 inches high
The head stand is said to be the most important posture of yoga.
Done in proper alignment it helps relieve stress and depression
by sending a fresh flow of oxygen to the upper body and head.
Standing on ones head stimulates the pituitary and
pineal glands. It also strengthens the lungs,
neck, arms, legs, and spine.
Angling the legs while in the head stand by placing the soles
of the feet together gives variation to this asana and helps
keep the flow of energy centered within the body.
